It wasn’t always like this.

Yet here we are. We watch our social media or the news with dread. It’s always with the same thought. “How much further can we lower the bar this week?”  And every week, Trump, republicans, the right wing is right there, fresh shovels. Digging so fast, the previous controversy gets swallowed up by the newest one.

Yes, it’s tough to keep track, but some recent lowlights; tweeting racist photos of the Obamas, continuing to fund ICE, starting a war to distract from the Epstein Files, TPUSA’s halftime show, tariffs, invading Greenland, invading Iceland, invading a “piece of Ice,” the voter suppression bill, openly taking bribes, unhinged speeches, a “Board of Peace,” wearing a cap, appointing massively unqualified people and the disastrous results. We all know there’s way more, but honestly, one can easily lose track.

So what can one do? How do we start to fix all this? Where do we go?

Welcome to The Lowered Bar, where I serve my own brand of smart, snarky, funny, honest and evolved political commentary. The only minimum here is an open mind. Pull up a stool.

I know you have questions like, “Really, Kev, another blog? No one reads your other one! Hell, in all those years you ever only got 2 subscribers!” Yes, that is all true (and I’m pretty sure those 2 subscribers don’t read me anymore. Side note; don’t forget to smash that subscribe button!)  As I’ve dabbled in the political content these last few years, I have learned quite a lot.

First off, it sucks. There is no better way to deaden your soul by forcing yourself to watch the news and do the research. If you ever wanna doubt things are going in historically bad directions, brothers and sisters, do the research. Your social media algorithms will make sure you only see content that triggers you and keeps you scrolling. Anyone else miss the days when SM was filled with boobs and memes? And memes of boobs?

If there was a Meme Hall of Fame, this is first ballot.

Second-and this is maybe the biggest reason for The Lowered Bar-I’m sick of it. I’m sick of these shithead politicians thriving on outright lies, confusion and division. And I’m even more sick of the certain segment of goobers that buy all this stuff up. You expect me to be honest, so I will be; I really don’t enjoy writing this sort of material. Because I see it ripping up families; I’ve seen it in comments left on my own posts. And let’s be real, what is one more idiot going to change with one more blog? Well, look at how far back one idiot has set the country. When I’ve written political stuff in the past, statistically, I know about half of the people will disagree with my bang on thoughts. I think we all have those friends who post nothing but one sided political stuff, doesn’t matter if it’s blue or orange. And I am more than that.

The idea of TLB (The Lowered Bar, but I’m pretty sure ya figured that out by now) is to keep all my longer form posts here. Most of my political stuff will live in this one spot. That way, if you like me but disagree with my political stances-cool. We can still be friends, and you don’t have to see me go off on my tangents. And if you do agree with me-also, cool. History likes folks like us. For me, it was an eye opener when I wrote that “We Hate ICE” post and it gets flagged for content. Blogspot didn’t even tell me what to fix, so I had to put a Google sign in/click through. That’s not what I want for KT. For the record, I did remove that post from KT to hopefully get rid of the click through, but it will be surfacing here shortly.

But you Fucking A know, TLB will get that sign in/click through.

There are still some things to flesh out as far as design. I suppose I should have put more thought into that aspect. I’ll figure it out as I go along it’s not like I’m starting a war with Iran or anything important. But I want to make this clear; much of this content will be full of big, beautiful common sense. That means anti Trump, anti Republican, anti Right. You know what you’re getting into. If you can’t handle that, please follow any other number of loser blogs and incel basement podcasts if that’s your jam.

So, yes, I am doing everyone a solid by putting all my political thoughts in one place. I feel that I should get some sort of peace prize, don’t cha think? Or do I need to go bomb another country to get one of those?

PAC Extras

Other potential titles I had for this blog; Kevolution Political Theory, Kevolution Theory Presents Political Animals (all about the branding) The Pedo Files, Tales From the White Power House, Hypocrisy Explained,  President Evil (way too cool of a title to waste on him) The Lowered Bar was a late entry, and the more I thought of it, the more I liked the theme. Look for a full-on merch store later on in the spring. All goods made in China, of course.

Still working on the format and layout here. Don’t worry, I will make all this look far worse when I’m finished. Think of this as the new White House ball room; kinda sorta a mess right now, I should be doing far more important things and I ain't paying anyone shit for the reno.

The imagery I do have so far is a huge Easter egg the direction this blog will take. Internet bonus points if you know this spoiler.
